61st Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee meet held

Hyderabad: The 61st Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee Meeting of Hyderabad Division, South Central Railway, was held at Divisional Railway Manager’s Conference Hall in Hyderabad Bhavan on Thursday.

The meeting was chaired by Divisional Railway Manager Arun Kumar Jain and attended by Addl Divisional Railway manager Sai Prasada Rao and other senior officials. It was the first meeting of the newly formed committee. Out of 12 nominated members, 9 members attended the meeting.

Arun Kumar Jain highlighted the financial performance of the division during 2017-18 (till Jan’18) and various major projects sanctioned over the division. He also Informed the members on development activities such as 100% LED lighting at all Stations and at Level crossing gates, awarding of parking facility for OLA Cabs at Kachegda,

provision of Pre paid Auto facility at Kacheguda, provision of TVs in the waiting rooms, RO plants, full length goods platforms at Kamareddy and Mahbubnagar, widening of entry and improvement to parking area at Dharmabad, extension of Rayalaseema Express upto Nizamabad with stoppage at Kamareddi.

The members expressed their satisfaction over the improvements made at stations specially the cleanliness at stations, introduction of additional trains, augmentation of coaches, stoppages etc.

They represented for provision of new lines, early introduction of MMTS Phase–II over Malkajgiri- Bolarum section, completion of introduction of new trains, stoppage of trains for more than two minutes at Nizamabad, provision of High-level platforms, provision of Cover over Platforms, shifting of parking area, completion of doubling work between Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar etc., (INN)
