Focus on resolving critical issues to expedite the projects: SCR

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav advised the officials to focus on resolving critical issues related to ongoing projects, so as to meet the targets as per the schedule.

He conducted a project wise detailed review meeting with the Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs), Construction and Engineering Officials at Rail Nilayam on Thursday.

Vinod Kumar Yadav instructed the officials to meticulously plan and co-ordinate with state government officials and other departmental officials to resolve issues like land acquisition, allocation of state government funds, issues pertains to forest and wild life clearance, crossing of electrical high-tension lines and shifting of signal and telecom cables etc,

and ensure smooth progress of projects as per the target time. He also stressed upon allocation and expenditure of funds, drawing up of plans pertaining to work proposals, estimates and drawings etc., so that the execution is carried out without any constraints.

He discussed in detail the year wise planning for commissioning of projects including Macherial-Peddampet Tripling, Kazipet-Vijayawada tripling, Parbhani-Mudkhed doubling, Nadikudi-Srikalahasti new line, Obulavaripalle-Krishnapatnam new line, Kallur-Guntakal doubling, Manoharabad-Kothapalli new line, Medak-Akkanapet new line, Nandyal-Yerraguntla new line, Kazipet-Balharshah tripling, Guntur-Guntakal doubling and Akola-Khandwa gauge conversion etc.

Further, the General Manager instructed the officials to change the strategy and handle the projects properly to achieve the fast progress in completing the projects within time frame.

Vijay Agrawal, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction and the Chief Engineers holding charge for various projects made a detailed presentation on the status of works / projects under progress.
