Hyderabad: Director General of Police Mahender Reddy on Sunday flagged off 5K Run “Jalam Jeevam”, a rally to create awareness on conservation of water, from Charminar to Barkas.
HMWSSB Managing Director Dana Kishore, Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, DCP South V. Satyanarayana and other dignitaries also participated in the programme.
Around 5,000 policemen, along with peace committee members and students participated in the awareness campaign on rain water harvesting and to promote the slogan ‘Save Water Save Life’. (INN)
