Hyderabad: Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy has alleged that the Congress leaders were apparently afraid of facing both Assembly sessions and elections.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Jagadish Reddy said that the Congress leaders could not face Assembly sessions and participate in the debates. For the same reasons, they create ruckus in the House and come out of the House in every session. He said Congress leaders also fear facing polls.
He said when Komatireddy Venkatreddy and A. Sampath Kumar were expelled from the House, they did not opt for facing by-elections. Instead, they approached the High Court to get their membership restored. He said if the Congress leaders think that they have a strong presence in Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar, then why were they afraid of facing by-elections.
Jagadish Reddy claimed that the Congress party would not win a single seat in next elections. He said CLP leader Jana Reddy and TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy too would lose their seats in next elections.
Strongly condemning Uttam Kumar Reddy for criticising Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, he said that the TPCC Chief has been levelling baseless allegations against the CM and other ministers.
He said Uttam Kumar Reddy has also failed to accept the challenge posed by minister KTR for a debate on TRS Government’s failures. (INN)
