Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan has directed all the road repairing contractors, agencies, all EEs, SEs and CE to complete the road repairing works by which have been taken up at a cost of Rs.1120 crores.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K. Tarakarama Rao is also personally monitoring and giving certain instructions to complete all the repairing works in the first week of June under any circumstances.
The Mayor, along with Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, HMWSSB Managing Director Dana Kishore, Road Development Corporation Chief Engineer Mohan Nayak, CEs, SEs, AEs of GHMC wing, contractors and agencies held a review meeting with regard to road repairing works at GHMC Head Office today.
Rammohan stated that any lapse for not completing the works in stipulated time will be viewed seriously. Hence all the contractors, engineer officials must personally monitor the works even the traffic police officials have also inform to give permissions during night to take up the road repairing works on the main roads and important junctions.
The Mayor further stated even if need is there to deploy additional labour they may take the services of additional labour to complete these works under any circumstances by first week of June.
Dr. Janardhan Reddy directed the engineers and contractors to maintain quality of the roads and problems if any arises with regard to coordination among different departments may be informed to the Commissioner so as to take up the works without any problems to be completed in the stipulated time.
