TITA Digithon conferred TS Formation Day Award-2018

Hyderabad: Recognizing the efforts and services to promote digital literacy among common people especially in rural Telangana, the State government has conferred the Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) with the ‘Telangana State Formation Day Award – 2018’.

IT Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao had presented the award during the Annual Report of the IT Department in Green Park Hotel. TITA was awarded under the category of ‘NGO with Best Outreach’.

100K Digithon program of the TITA & ITE&C was especially appreciated and taken as basis for award by the government and this is the third consecutive award for TITA by state government. TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala dedicated the award to the martyrs of Telangana.

He was awarded on the occasion of four years celebrations of state formation. Makthala along with TITA core members reached the venue of TITA Telangana formation day celebrations at phoenix.

The celebrations began with the triumph of the award rally. The rally took place with a team led by TITA from the Hotel Lemon Tree to Phoenix. Subsequently, artists from different districts as part of the program were performed like Oggu Dolu, Gussadi dance, Dhum Dham specialties.

On this occasion, Telangana pudding like sakhinalu, sarvapindi, murukulu, vadappa impressed all the invitees. The guests attending the occasion congratulated Telangana IT Association representatives for trying to protect the Telangana culture in IT industry.

“I am dedicating this award to the martyrs of Telangana who gave their precious lives for the State in which we are living with grace and self-respect”, said Makthala. Makthala thanked the Telangana Government for the award and vowed to continue his contributions towards making a prosperous Telangana in future.

He said that programs under TITA would be carried out more intensely and widely across Telangana.

Digithon, Telangana Yuva Nirmaan and Telangana Innovation & Incubation Centre (TIIC) are the few major initiatives of TITA under the leadership of Sundeep Makthala. He has been actively participating in programs aimed at enhancing digital literacy among villages besides supporting the State Government in many IT related programs. (INN)
