Cent percent payments made to paddy farmers: TS Govt

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government on Thursday claimed that it has made cent percent payments to the farmers for the purchased paddy for this year Rabi season.

All the payments were made directly to the farmers accounts through online. In this Rabi season 35.25 lakh metric tons of paddy was purchased from 6.11 lakh farmers through 3313 purchase centers.

The total value of the paddy is Rs. 5601.97 crores. Civil Supplies Corporation released the funds to all the districts. Today i.e. on Thursday, 14th June also Rs. 349 crores were released to the district.

With this cent percent payment is completed. This Rs. 349 crores will be deposited in farmers’ accounts in one or two bank working days.

In view of festival, payments to farmers, hamali, transport, gunny bags are completed. Without any involvement of middlemen all the payments are made to farmers directly through online at Minimum Support Price.

Commissioner for Civil Supplies Akun Sabharwal said sufficient funds are available with Civil Supplies Corporation. (INN)
