Kavitha throws ‘green challenge’ to celebrities

Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha has thrown a green challenge to Deputy CM Mahmood Ali, Andhra Jyothi MD Vemuri Radha Krishna, Badminton star Saina Nehwal and Cini director Rajamouli. All of them has accepted the challenge to plant the saplings as part of Haritha haaram.

On Saturday MP Kavitha has planted 3 saplings as part of the green challenge in front of her residence in Hyderabad. As part of the green challenge Deputy CM Mahmood Ali, Andhra Jyothi MD Vemuri Radha Krishna, Badminton star Saina Nehwal, and Cini director Rajamouli are expected to plant three saplings each.

On 27th of this month, celebrating the occasion of former president Dr. Abdul Kalam’s birthday, Igniting Minds and walk for water charitable organizations are taking forward Telangana Haritha Haram program in a unique way by challenging people to plant three trees each and as part of the challenge, MP Kavitha has planted three saplings in front of her house in Hyderabad.

The primary aim of this program is to encourage planting saplings in a competitive and fun way. Kavitha has said that planting trees is the easiest way anybody can contribute for the nature to tackle the draughts, global warming and environmental challenges.

She also said it is the responsibility of all the citizens to promote this program and bring awareness on planting trees and contributing to nature.

Giving a clean environment to the younger generations is the best what we can offer for the coming ages. For that, we all need to make a habit of planting trees.

Kavitha said planting trees as part of green challenge gives inspiration to others, and it is also a playful way to do good to nature. MP Kavitha said the job does not finish with the planting, but proper care needs to be taken to protect them. (INN)
