Hyderabad: The Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s Department of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) has begun accepting applications for its postgraduate programs. Established in 2004, the department initially launched with an MA in Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) and later expanded to include undergraduate courses such as the BA in Journalism and Mass Communication (BA JMC) and the four-year BA Honors program.
Graduates from MANUU’s MCJ department are employed in leading media outlets across Hyderabad and the rest of India. Alumni have found careers at major institutions such as Jamia Hamdard and have also been honored to serve in various state governments, including Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, and Kerala. Additionally, graduates work at international organizations in the Middle East and at the US Embassy in New Delhi.
The department’s MA MCJ program offers a comprehensive curriculum covering print media, electronic media, public relations, digital media, and video production. The program is designed to equip students with the skills needed to pursue successful careers in the media industry. Graduates of the program have excellent job prospects in various media sectors.
