Hyderabad: Dr.P.Venugopal Reddy of Dr BR Ambedkar Open University has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Public Relations Society of India’s Hyderabad chapter for the second time in a row (2018-20)
The Returning Officer of the PRSI elections announced Dr Reddy as the Chairman after rejecting two other nominations on technical grounds. In the election held to elect six Executive Committee members of the PRSI last evening 12 professionals were in the fray.
However, Dr.Reddy’s panel won with a thumping majority. The new body announced by Dr Reddy in the General Body is as follows:
Dr.S.Ramu (Administrative Staff College of India)- Vice Chairman
Mr.P.Mohan Rao (Associate Editor, PR voice)- General Secretary
Mr.K.Yadagiri (PR Academic Consultant)- Joint Secretary
Mr.VV Bhujanga Rao (PR professional)- Treasurer
Mr.B.Mahesh (Singareni Collieries Company Limited)- EC member
Mr.V.Sudhakar (Agricultural University)- EC Member
While the Public Relations Guru Dr.CV Narasimha Reddy has been announced as the Chief Patron, Dr.NL Narasimha Rao, Dr J.Chennaiah and Y.Babji will act as advisers.
Thanking the members for reposing faith in him, Dr.Venu said that he would strive to bring in more professionalism in the activities of PRSI. “With the support of the both Telugu governments and the able guidance of Dr.CV Narasimha Reddy, we wish to take up a lot of initiatives to bring repute to the profession,” he said.
