BRAOU signs MoU with Swamy Ramananda Tirtha Rural Institute

Hyderabad: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) and Swamy Ramananda Tirtha Rural Institute (SRTRI) Pochampally, which is working under the aegis of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, Govt. of Telangana, entered into a Memorandum of  Understanding (MoU) to offered skill-based courses. A meeting in this regard was held at the campus on Wednesday.

The MoU was signed and exchanged by Registrar, Dr.A.V.N Reddy, BRAOU and Swamy Ramananda Tirtha Rural Institute, Director, Dr. Kishore Reddy in the presence of Prof.K.Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU. The meeting was attended by Prof.E.Sudha Rani Director (Academic), Dr.D.Rabindranath Solomon, Head Department of Commerce, Faculty members and officials from the SRTRI. (INN)

BRAOU collaborates with CEMCA for the online training programme

Hyderabad: The Centre for Staff Training and Development (CSTD) of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University in collaboration with Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) on Monday launched an online capacity building programme on ‘Blended Learning In Higher Education Institutions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking after launching the programme, BRAOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Seetharama Rao said that the Covid-19 pandemic had brought about many changes in the current higher education system, making it easier for educators to learn new skills. Faculty members working in higher education institutions have to learn teaching methods using information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a tool.

Prof.Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, Senior program Officer, CEMCA, New Delhi, said that in line with the changing circumstances, it is imperative for the faculty to learn new skills to teach the students in a way that is easy to understand. He pointed out that in the coming days, there is a lot of opportunity for education in a blended mode in the country and the faculty should be provided with the necessary technology for it.

Prof.Tummala Ramakrishna, Vice-Chancellor, Dravidian University, Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh and Prof.S.Mallesh, Vice-Chancellor, Satavahana University, Karimnagar also spoke on the occasion, the time has come for faculty members working in higher education institutions to develop the technical skills offered by universities in order to improve the skills of teachers working in higher education institutions.

Prof.E.Sudha Rani, Academic (Director) and Dr.G.Laxma Reddy, Registrar attended as Guests of honor, addressed the gathering, Faculty in higher education institutions must learn the technology to adapt to the changes coming around the world.

Prof.Ghanta Chakrapani, Director (Centre for Staff Training and Development) Presided over the function. He explained the training classes were designed to be useful to faculty members on weekdays. Dr.D.Rabindranath Solomon, Program Coordinator, All the Directors, Heads of the Branches, Deans, Faculty members of BRAOU and those who are working in various educational institutions in the two Telugu States participated. (INN)

BRAOU B.Ed entrance test to be held on 20th March

Hyderabad: The last date for Online Registration for B.Ed (Special Education) Entrance Test – 2021-22 of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) is March 11.

Candidates have to Register through ‘Online’ from the University portal candidates are required to choose Examination centre as per their choice to appear for the Entrance test. The candidate will have to pay Rs. 600/- by debit/credit card or Rs. 635/- at the TS/AP Online franchisee centre.

The candidates have been advised to download the Hall Tickets two days before the Examination date from the University website: The Entrance Test for B.Ed (Special Education) will be held on March 20. BRAOU MA JMC & MBA examinations from March 21

Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) announced the dates of M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication Semesters II, III & IV and MBA Second Year Semester III Examinations will be held from March 21.

The last date for registration and Payment of examinations fee is March 2. The Timing of the Examination is 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM. The Students have to pay the examinations fee through T.S/A.P. BRAOU examinations from February 7

Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Degree (CBCS & Old Batch), examinations earlier scheduled is from January 17 to February 8, 2022. The rescheduled are to be held from February 7 to 28, 2022.

Degree (3YDC old batches) examinations will be held from 7th to 12th February. Degree (CBCS) IV semester examinations will be held from February 14 to 20, 2022 and II semester examinations from February 22 to 28, 2022.

BRAOU B.Ed (Special Education) Spot Admissions on Jan 7

BRAOU first year B.Sc. Degree practical training classes from Jan 4

Hyderabad: The Practical Training Classes for First Year, Semester-I B.Sc. Degree Students of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) in the Science subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Botany and Zoology, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Application will commence from January 4, 2022, onwards in the Science and Technology Multi-Functional Laboratories (STML), University Campus, Road No 46, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.The Students who have paid lab fees have been advised to contact the Dean Office, Faculty of  Science to enroll themselves before December 30, 2021. Ambedkar Open University signs additional MoU with AOC Center

Hyderabad: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University entered an additional memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on Monday between the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Center, Secunderabad. The current agreement between the two organisations will provide additional opportunities for Army personnel. This Agreement (MOU) will facilitate the various programs such as Advanced Diploma, Degree in Management and Administrative Studies, BA, B.Com, B.Sc. The university will also offer BLISc, MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MLISc, PGDM and MBA courses at the AOC Center.

The Registrar in-charge Dr. A.V.N. Reddy and AOC Secunderabad Center Commandant Brigadier Ajit Ashok Deshpande signed on the MoU and exchanged the documents.

On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof K. Seetharama Rao said the AOC staff and their dependent family members were being offered the opportunity to study the courses offered by BRAOU. He explained that the Army personnel serving in the national defense, BRAOU serving with the aim of improving and upgrading their qualifications. He hopes that completing these courses will help them in their “second career” after retirement. It has been announced that a Learner Support Center / University Cell will be set up at the AOC Center soon.

The meeting was attended by AOC Center officials, Deputy Commandant Colonel Prince Dutta, Lieutenant Colonel Viraj Semwal, Academic Director of the University Prof. E.S. BRAOU B.Ed examinations from Jan 18

Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) B.Ed Second Year examinations will be held from January 18 to 24 and first-year examinations will b held from 27th January to 2nd February. The Examination time is from 2.00 p.m to 5.00 pm.

Students have been advised to visit the university for examination registration. The students have to pay the Practical Exam fee along with the Theory Exam fee as a single payment through T.S/A.P. Online Centres or Debit/Credit card only.
