20th batch of Haj pilgrims leave for Makkah

Hyderabad: With the departure of more 600 pilgrims belonging to Andhra Pradesh for Haj the number of the total pilgrims who reach Makkah, their destination, rose to 6000. So far 20 chartered flights have left Hyderabad for Jeddah.

Telangana Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan, Andhra Pradesh Haj Committee Chairman Momin Ahmed Husain and other members of the both SHCs bid the batch farewell at Haj House.

Masiullah Khan said that the Telangana State Haj Committee has made all out efforts for smooth departure of Haj pilgrims. Special Officer Haj Committee Prof. S. A. Shukoor said that the Telangana State Haj Committee has the unique distinction of sending pilgrims of three states from Hyderabad.

Momin Ahmed Hussain said that a Haj House would be constructed at Vijaywada at a cost of Rs. 80 crores.
