377 more pilgrims leave for Haj

Hyderabad: The third batch of 377 Haj pilgrims from Telangana State left this morning after some delay due to technical reasons.

Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem, Executive Officer B. Shafiullah, Members Mohammed Jafer Khan, Syed Nizamuddin, Syed Irfan ul Haq, Syed Ghulam Ahmed Hussain, noted Islamic scholar Moulana Mohammed Anwar Ahmed Qadri and AEO Irfan Shareef flagged off the first bus of the pilgrims.

Addressing the pilgrims before their departure, Saleem advised them to spend their time in prayers only and do not focus on phone calls etc. He asked them not to go for shopping in Saudi Arabia as everything of better quality is available in our country. He said that the pilgrims are going so far only for the prayers, therefore they should not waste their time on making phone calls to India. He said that the temperature in Makkah today is 40 degrees C as per the Metrology Department.

Earlier, former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir visited the Haj House, met the pilgrims and advised them to pray for the peace and development of the country and the state.The fourth batch of Haj pilgrims is scheduled to depart from Hyderabad International Airport at 8:35 am on 25th June 2022. (INN)

Haj 2022: 24×7 Control Room set up at Haj House

Hyderabad: As many as 754 Haj pilgrims from Telangana State have reached the holy city of Makkah safely by two chartered flights of Saudi Arabian Airlines, announced Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem.

The TSHC Chairman said that all the pilgrims are safe and they have performed Umra. The Haj Committee has sent three Khadim-ul-Hujjaj along with the pilgrims with the instructions to be in touch with the pilgrims and the authorities and provide necessary help and guidance and assistance if the situation demands that.

Saleem informed that a 24×7 Haj Control Room has been set up in the office of the Haj Committee to monitor the situation and provide necessary help to the concerned. First flight of Haj pilgrims to depart on June 20

Hyderabad: The first flight of carrying 373 Haj pilgrims from Telangana State will depart from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad in the early hours of June 20.

Of 373 pilgrims, as many as 214 are from Hyderabad, 71 from Medchal, 44 from Nalgonda, 16 from Medak, 16 from Siddipet, and 12 from Yadadri Bhongir and two each from Sangareddy and Gadwal districts. Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem and other officials will accord a warm send-off to the Haj pilgrims at 5:55 AM on June 20.

Elaborate arrangements have been made at the Haj Camp at Haj House, Nampally where the pilgrims departing from the first flight arrived on Saturday morning. The RT-PCR test of all the pilgrims has been conducted and all of them were found negative for Covid-19.According to Wakf Board Chairman, the Haj pilgrims would board the flight from the international terminal instead of the Haj terminal. Therefore, their immigration and customs clearance would be completed in the Haj House itself. (INN)

All departments urged to coordinate for the smooth conduct of Haj Camp

Hyderabad: Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali has urged all the Departments to coordinate for the smooth departure of Haj Pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point and conduct of Haj Camp starting from 18th June to 30th June.

He was addressing a coordination meeting of all Departments in connection with the arrangements being made for the Departure and Arrival of Haj Pilgrims from Hyderabad at Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad today.

Mahmood Ali said that due to the corona pandemic pilgrims could not be sent for Haj Pilgrim during the last two years but this year Saudi Arabian Government has permitted to allow the pilgrims but with limited numbers. As against 7000 Pilgrims permitted last year only 3000 Haj pilgrims have been permitted this year, he said.  This year, pilgrims more than 65 years of age are not permitted to perform Haj by the Saudi Authorities. He also asked the pilgrims not to take any items which are banned by the Saudi Government.

Minorities Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar said that all the facilities including customs clearance, checking of Baggage, provision of currency exchange and other facilities including Food and Accommodation are being provided under one roof i.e. at Haj House for the benefit of the Haj Pilgrims.

Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohd Saleem said that Hyderabad has been named as the best Embarkation Point in the entire Country and requested all the Department to co-ordinate and said that with the intensive efforts of all the Departments, the conduct of the Haj Camp could be successful.

A.K.Khan, Advisor to the Government, took detailed stock of various department activities involved in the Haj operations.  He informed that about 3,016 Haj pilgrims inclusive of 825 pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh will depart from Hyderabad through eight Saudi Airlines flights.  Each flight will have a capacity of 377 pilgrims.  He asked all the Departments which are connected with the departure of Hal Pilgrims to complete all the required formalities beforehand for smooth conduct of the camp.Andhra Pradesh Haj Committee Chairman Khader Basha, Minority Welfare Secretary Ahmed Nadeem, Haj Committee CEO Shafiullah, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranganath and representatives from Saudi Airlines, GMR, Immigration, Customs, Civil Aviation Security, SBI, RTC, DHMO, GHMC, R&B, Fire Services, Metro Water Works and others also attended the meeting. (INN)

2nd Haj Training Camp held at Masjid Boghdadi Tek, Nampally

Hyderabad: The 2ndHaj Orientation Training Camp for the selected Haj pilgrims was conducted at Masjid Boghdadi Tek, Nampally here on Sunday.

The training camp was presided over by Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem. He congratulated the Haj Pilgrims for their selection and their opportunity to perform Haj this year delayed for the last two years due to Covid-19. He also announced that a control room would be set up during the entire period of stay of pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia till their return to coordinate and liaison with the Haj pilgrims and Khadimul Hujjaj.

He said that Khadim-ul-Hujjaj (Haj Volunteers) have been selected for guiding and helping the pilgrims during Haj in Saudi Arabia. He also directed the Kahdiumul Hujjaj to be punctual in service to the Haj pilgrims during the stay in Saudi Arabia without any complaint.

Mohammed Saleem informed that he would be visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Umrah and also to meet with the Senior Officials of Consulate General of India, Jeddah for the necessary arrangements and facilities being provided to the Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. He also requested the Haj pilgrims to follow the rituals of Haj strictly and maintain patience during the journey of Haj.

Haj 2020: Last date for 2nd instalment of payment extended

Hyderabad: Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohd Masiullah Khan on Saturday informed that the Telangana State Haj Committee would organize the Haj Training Camps for selected Haj Pilgrims in the month of April, due to outbreak of Coronavirus.

Masiullah Khan also informed that the Holy journey of Intending Haj pilgrims of Telangana State would begin on 9th July and the arrival of Haj pilgrims will take place from 13th August to 3rd September.

He also said that the last date of remittance of 2nd Advance Haj amount of Rs. 1,20,000/- each by the provisionally selected Haj pilgrims of Haj-2020 has been extended up to 31st March.

Khadimul Hujjaj interviews on 4th March

Hyderabad: Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohd. Masiullah Khan, Chairman has informed that the Interviews of Khadimul Hujjaj will be held on 4thMarch between 10 am and 5 pm at 2nd Floor, Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad.

In this programme, the TSHC Chairman, two members of Central Haj Committee and TSHC Executive Officer B. Shafiullah will be present.

The draw of lots will be held on 5th March at 3 pm in the presence of media. A total of 207 applications have been received for Khadimul Hujjaj category of which 184 applicants are eligible for the interview while 23 were rejected.

Mashiullah Khan also informed that the TS Haj Committee will organize first Central Haj Training Camp soon. (INN)

Draw of lots to select pilgrims of Haj 2020 held

Hyderabad: Telangana State Haj Committee’s Executive Officer B. Shafiullah on Saturday informed stated that

Special Chief Secretary (Minorities Welfare) Ajay Misra inaugurated the computerized Qurrah (draw of lots) for intending Haj – 2020 pilgrims at Haj House, Nampally here on Saturday.

Telangana State Haj Committee chairman Md. Masiullah Khan, Minorities Commission Chairman Md. Qamaruddin, Wakf Board chairman Md Saleem, TSHC Executive Officer B. Shafiullah and others were also present.

A quota of about 4,341 pilgrims was allotted to Telangana State for which a total of 10,752 online applications were received. A total of 464 applications were received under the senior citizens category (above 70 years of age), and 8 aspirants are women without Mehram category while another 23 applications were for infants. The computerised draw system was broadcast live on large screens within the Haj House premises.

Shafiullah, who presided over the program, welcomed the dignitaries and gave a brief note about the process of the Haj Camp. He said that the Telangana State Haj Committee has been making the best arrangements for Haj pilgrims and would continue to do so.

He further said that the selected pilgrims can remit Rs. 81,000/- on or before 1″ February -2020 and Rs. 1,20,000/- on or before 15th March -2020 as balance amount and submit the, online forms along with Original Passport to Telangana State Haj Committee.

These amounts are common to all categories. The remittance can be made by pilgrims through State Bank of India or Union Bank of India, online service i.e. www.hajcommittee.gov.in.

The Haj Training programmes will be start in the month of February onwards.

He requested the Haj applicants not to fall into the trap of middlemen. “No agents can have any say in this matter, since the whole system has been computerised for random selection, and personal influence cannot work,” he added.

Draw of lots to select Telangana Haj pilgrims tomorrow

Hyderabad: The draw of lots will to select pilgrims from Telangana for Haj 2020 will be held on Saturday.

According to Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohd Masiullah Khan, the draw of lots (Qurrah) will be held at 11 am on Saturday at Haj House.

He also said that the draw of lots was online transparent procedure. The intending haj pilgrims also can check their cover status from official Haj website www.haicommittee.gov.in and the messages will also send to Haj pilgrims registered contacts.

Last date to apply online for Haj-2020 extended till Dec 23

Hyderabad: Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan has informed that the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, has extended the last date to apply Haj Online Application forms up to 23rd December.

He said that the intending Haj pilgrims who have not applied till now for online Haj application forms may submit their application through online from the website of Haj Committee of India, i.e., www.hajcommittee.gov.in.

The TSHC Chairman also requested the intending Haj pilgrims to bring necessary documents such as Passports, Bank proof, Address proof, Passport size photos with white background along with debit or credit card to pay the online HAF processing fee.

The intending Haj pilgrims must have machine readable passport with the expiry date of 20th January 2021 for applying the Online Haj Application form for Haj 2020.
