Amit Shah to launch BJP campaing in TS on Sept 15

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah will launch campaign for Telangana Assembly elections on September 15 in Palamuru of Mahabubnagar district.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana BJP Headquarters at Nampally on Friday, BJP leader G. Kishan Reddy informed that Amit Shah would kick start the campaign on September 15 besides holding a review on the party’s strategy for next polls.

He also made it clear that the BJP would not have alliance with any other party. Stating that the BJP has a strong base in Telangana, he said there was no need for the party to go for any kind of pre-polls tie-up with other parties.

Kishan Reddy also informed that the Telangana BJP Executive Committee meeting would be held on Saturday to discuss strategy for next elections.

He said that caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao did not give any valid reason for advancing the Assembly elections. He said TRS had failed to fulfil any of the electoral promises and it has no moral right to seek votes from people of Hyderabad whom it has cheated multiple times by not bringing any development.

He alleged that KCR and TRS leaders are begging before Congress leaders to join the pink party apparently to boost their falling image. However, he said people would reject both TRS and Congress in next elections and they will vote for the BJP.

The BJP leader also slammed KCR for calling BJP a communal party. He alleged that KCR has been cheating Muslims in the name of 12% reservation. At one side, KCR is promising 12% reservation for Muslims and on the other, TRS is denying party tickets to Muslims.

He said of 105 TRS candidates announced by KCR, only two were Muslims. He said TRS was denying tickets to Muslims on the pretext that it was having friendly relations with MIM.

He slao slammed KCR for not celebrating Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17 at official level as it is done in Maharashtra and Karnataka. He said that the Telangana BJP would request the Central Government to organise the celebrations at official level.
