Congress is scared of facing elections: TRS

Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav alleged that the main opposition parties – Congress, TDP and BJP were afraid of facing the next elections. He alleged that it was the same fear that was brining Congress and TDP closer.

Speaking to media persons at TRS Legislature Party here on Thursday, Talasani said that Congress party was trying to run away from the electoral arena on pretext or the other.

Stating that the TRS Government had nothing to do with the discrepancies in the electoral rolls, he said that the issue was being handled by the Election Commission of India and it would ensure that all eligible citizens get their voting rights.

However, he said that the Congress party was trying to delay the election process by approaching the court.

Talasani also accused TPCC President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy of making false promises with the people to seek their votes. He said none of the promises being made by the Congress party could be implemented.

Meanwhile, while addressing a separate press conference at Telangana Bhavan, TRS MP B. Vinod Kumar strongly condemned the Congress party for approaching Supreme Court against hold early polls citing irregularities in the voters’ lists as the reason.

He said it appeared that Congress party was not ready for early polls and want them to be postponed by some means. At one side Uttam Kumar Reddy is making claims that Congress was ready polls anytime.

But at another side, Marri Sashidhar Reddy has moved the Supreme Court to stall the elections.

Vinod Kumar expressed confidence that the TRS would retain despite all dramas being enacted by the Congress party.
