Hyderaba: Describing TRS as ‘Traitors Samithi’, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief spokesperson Dr. Sravan Dasoju alleged that all the ‘traitors and cheaters’ of Telangana have assembled in TRS to cheat the people once again in next elections.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Sravan strongly condemned the criticism done by caretaker minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Congress party.
Reacting to KTR’s contention asking people to decide between KCR who stays in the city or handover Telangana to Delhi, Sravan said instead of handing over Telangana to Telangana traitors like Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav or Mahender Reddy, people would prefer Congress party which defends the country on all fronts.
He said people should choose between an old fox who sucks people’s blood by sitting in Pragathi Bhavan or a soldier who fought for the country on borders.
Sravan said people of Telangana have fought for the statehood for 60 years and handed over its affairs to TRS to run the new State for 60 months. However, by surrendering power in just 40 months, TRS has proved that it was not capable of running the government.
TRS Government did not run property for the first 10 months in power on the pretext of shortage of officials. Later, the administration was brought a halt in the name of elections in Hyderabad, Warangal and Khammam, he remarked.
Now, with still nine months to go for completion of term, the Assembly was dissolved abruptly. Therefore, the TRS Government hardly functioned for 30 months and now KTR is appealing people to again vote for TRS which is nothing but an attempt to ridicule the world’s largest democracy, he said.
The Congress leader asked KTR to explain as to why people should vote for the TRS. “Should they (people) reward TRS for suicide by thousands of farmers, not filling up one lakh vacancies, non-implementation of Fee Reimbursement and Aarogya Sri scheme or for killing innocent people like Shruti Sagar in fake encounters? Should people vote for TRS for insulting women by not giving them any representation in the State Cabinet or for throttling the democracy by removing Dharna Chowk to curb all kinds of protests?” he asked adding that KTR was proving to a ‘pest’ for entire Telangana State.
Sravan predicted that TRS would not get any votes or seats in next elections and all TRS leaders including KCR would face a humiliating defeat.
