INN to launch weekly, portal and helpline for jobless youth

Hyderabad: In an effort to help the youth get a suitable job, the Indian News Network (INN), the media organisation which runs a news and photo agency, has decided to launch a weekly newspaper, a website and a 24×7 helpline.

According to INN Editor-in-Chief Waliullah Sameer, the initiative is aimed at helping thousands of youth who are unable to find a suitable job at completely free of cost.

He said that the content of the weekly newspaper and website will be decided based on the findings of an ongoing survey on why qualified and non-qualified fail to get a job.

While qualified youth look at the company and work profile before taking up a job, non-qualified youth find very less opportunities. INN, through its initiative, will try to bridge this gap, he said.

The INN’s proposed weekly and website will publish news and articles that could benefit the jobless youth in finding best opportunities.

In addition, a series of articles, to be written by industry experts, on various self-employment opportunities will be published on regular basis. The main object is to boost confidence among youth that they can take up a particular job and deliver to the satisfaction of the employer.

Similarly, there are numerous low-investment self-employment schemes which jobless youth can explore. Through this initiative, a complete step-by-step guide will be provided to help them set up their own small ventures.

The self-employment schemes of both Central and State Governments will also be highlighted in a prominent manner so that they reached the jobless youth. “Lack of awareness and the attitude of not taking risk are among a few reasons for rising unemployment.

We will try to create required awareness and also attitude through various initiatives,” said Sameer. The 24×7 helpline would be helpful to youth who are confused over taking up a career.

“We propose to collect information placements from private, corporate and public sector and disseminate it through our weekly newspaper and website and also through SMS among jobless youth at completely free of cost.

We are confident that the initiative would help thousands of youth get a suitable job,” Sameer said.
