Hyderabad to host 7th National Summit of Facilities Management Professionals

Hyderabad: The 7th National Summit of TFMC – Telangana Facility Management Council will be held in the city on 31st May at Anvaya Conventional Hall, Gachibowli.

Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, IT, Govt of Telangana; NVS Reddy, MD of HMRL; Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Secretary- Higher Education; Venkat Narasimha Reddy, Vice Chairman and MD of TSIIC; Srikanth Srinivasan, NASSCOM; Murali Bollu, President of HYSEA, CVD Ramprasad, Director of Software Technology Parks of India and others are expected grace the Summit.

Sharing a highlight of the 7th Summit, Satyanarayana Mathala, President of TFMC, said, that they as team TFMC invited MNC Manufacturing Company Sunline Furniture to India to launch its products 1st time in India. They are using TFMC 7th National Summit as a platform to launch their products in India, he informed. Sunline is the latest US brand of innovative office furniture.

FFMC has been focusing on five major initiatives. They are Promotion of Handlooms in IT Sector; Improving the Last Mile Connectivity for Metro; Work towards Plastic Free Offices; Infra Issues related to Coordination from IT fraternity and Let’s Vote campaign for Assembly elections, informed Mr. Satyanarayana Mathala, President of TFMC.

Elaborating on its most popular initiative, Satya said, TFMC could reach out to 200 plus IT Major Companies and reach out to two lakh plus employees. And Handlooms clothes worth rupees one crore were sold directly by exhibitors, mostly weavers. TFMC is actively working with the Government of Telangana to encourage wearing Handlooms.

The organizations reach out for this initiative include DLF,. Raheja, Phoniex and Capgemini.

While continuing with the five initiatives, we will additionally get involved more in greening the IT Corridor. So TFMC will participate in Haritha Haram in large scale he said.

Another laudable effort was Last Mile Connectivity for Metro Rail Users. TFMC held 7 meetings with major developers such as Raheja, DLF, Waverock, ILabs, which resulted in a turnout of over four thousand five hundred employees using Metro Connectivity from Hitech Station to IT Campuses. TFMC is also working with L & T and HMRL for more improved services.

Two events on Cyclathon and one Walkathon were organized to create awareness about Voting before the State Assembly and Parliament elections recently. Turnout at elections is far lower for young people and IT folks than any other cohort. TFMC is committed to change this view. It has done its best to create voter awareness, informed Sayya.

The Facilities Event 2019 is the meeting place for the Facilities Management and workplace industry. This year’s event will be focused on providing essential knowledge, information, and inspiration for the betterment of the FM community.

TFMC was established in 2015 to take on the mantle of fostering leadership, professional excellence in the specialized domain of facility management.

TFMC collaborates with SEZ officers, STPI officers, CEO’s CTO’s, CFO’s, Facilities heads across India, Hyderabad Metro Rail, GHMC Commissioner, HMWSSB Commissioner, TSIIC Chairman, Principle Secretary , Pollution Board, Electricity Board, and others.

Facilities Management is critical to the competitiveness, efficiency, and profitability of an organization, a role that was largely overlooked in the past when Facility Management was seen overwhelmingly as a mere support function, said TFMC in its press note. (INN)
