Telangana Cabinet likely to clear IR for employees

Hyderabad: Telangana State Cabinet, which is scheduled to meet on June 18 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, is likely to give nod to the Interim Relief for government employees.

According to sources, the State Cabinet is expected to take decisions on several issues which were pending due to the prolonged implementation of Model Code of Conduct for various elections. The government is expected to announce Interim Relief till the new Pay Revision Commission (PRC) is implemented.

An assurance has already been given to the Joint Action Committee of employees in a meeting held on Saturday. The TNGOs leaders had demanded that the State Government take decisions on PRC, Interim Relief and the increase in age limit for pensions.

The Telangana Government, according to sources, might announce IR of 20% which would cost nearly Rs. 6,000 crore to the State’s exchequer.

A high level committee headed by C.R. Baswal has reportedly prepared a report regarding the IR to employees. (INN)
