Hyderabad: Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali on Tuesday wrote a letter to Union External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar seeking his intervention to bring the body of a Hyderabadi youth killed in a road accident in USA.
Mahmood Ali, in his letter, informed the Union Minister that the victim, Syed Waseem Ali, who was residing in California, was killed in a road accident on June 23 and his body has been kept with San Francisco Medical Examiner.
He said victim’s father Syed Ghouse Ali and his family are poor and they could not afford to pay for the travel expenses to shift the body to Hyderabad.
Therefore, he urged the Union Minister to arrange for the shifting of body to Hyderabad and the cost of the travel should be borne by the Government of India. (INN)
