Hitech City – Raidurg stretch of Metro Rail to be launched on Nov 29

Hyderabad: The Hitec city – Raidurg stretch of Metro Rail Corridor-3 will be inaugurated on November 29 by Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister K. Tarakarama Rao and Transport Minister P. Ajay Kumar.

Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) Managing Director NVS Reddy inspected the stretch on Friday along with HMRL Chief Electrical Engineer DVS Raju, Chief Signalling & Telecom Engineer SK Das, PD, L&TMRHL MP Naidu, COO AK Saini and other senior engineers.

Satisfied with the preparedness, he stated that all the tests have been completed on this one and a half km stretch. It is expected that Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) Janak Kumar Garg will inspect the section on 26th or 27th November. Subject to CMRS’ safety clearance, the inaugural is planned for 29th, the MD informed.

The opening of this important IT stretch will provide a major relief to a large number of employees working in major IT/ITES and other establishments in this congested area and that an initial additional ridership of about 40 thousand is likely, NVS Reddy added. (INN)
