TS High Court to hear urgent matters through ‘Virtual Courts’

Hyderabad: In view of the outbreak of COVID-19 (Corona) Virus, the High Court has issued certain instructions to the Subordinate Courts in the State of Telangana to avoid footfall in Court Complexes.

The District Courts and other Subordinate Courts are instructed to entertain only urgent matters and the members of the Bar are requested to advise their clients not to visit the court premises unless it is very essential and unavoidable. However, to meet the exigencies and to take up urgent matters,

“Virtual Court Rooms” are created in every Court Complex by giving time slots to each individual Court, from where the Advocates and the Prosecutors will argue the matters before the concerned Court.

All the Judicial Officers in the State are utilizing the Virtual Court Room through which dispensation of justice is being carried out.

The High Court is also planning for hearing the urgent matters through virtual courts from Monday (March 23). (INN)
