Telangana CS appeals people to support moves to combat Covid-19

Hyderabad: Telangana state Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar made an appeal to public that they should voluntarily support government for the steps taken by government to combat Covid -19.

Chief Secretary visited Mallepally area in khairathabad Zone along with Local MLA Meraj Hussain, DGP Mahender Reddy, MAUD Prl Secretary Arvind kumar, GHMC Commissioner D.S.Lokesh Kumar, Hyderabad Collector Swetha Mohanthy, Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar today.

He informed that 12 containment clusters have been identified to combat Covid-19 spread in the city. He appealed the people residing in these areas not to come outside their houses. He also indicated that outside people /others should not visit those areas.

He said State Government was aiming to control the spread of Covid-19 by arranging barricades where ever necessary. A special number will be allocated to those who are inside to convey their problems, he said.

The Chief Secretary has instructed the GHMC Commissioner to nominate a Nodal Officer to monitor the implementation of containment rules. He also instructed the Zonal and Deputy Commissioners to implement government’s directions.

Somesh Kumar said that people were completely supporting to the decisions taken by the government to lockdown for the containment of Covid-19 spread. He requested that the public to continue to support in the same manner.
