Hyderabad: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has felicitated Dr. G. Suryanarayana Raju, an eminent Surgical Oncologist, on his elevation as a member of the prestigious National Medical Commission.
She honoured him with a memento and shawl during his visit to the Raj Bhavan, here, on Sunday.
The Governor stated that his rich experience in the field of medicine and medical education would help promote quality medical education in the country.
“Our medical education must meet the global standards as envisioned in the National Education Policy-2020,” she added.
Earlier, Dr. Suryanarayana Raju served as the Dean, Research, at the NIMS, Hyderabad. (INN)
