BJP hails HC decision on VCs’ appointments

Hyderabad : Telangana BJP president Dr. K. Lakshman has hailed the decision of Hyderabad High Court in cancelling the appointment of Vice-Chancellors to nine universities in Telangana.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Lakshman said as per rules, the VCs should have been appointed by the Governor. However, the State Government made appointments without any defined criteria.

He said that the entire education system has collapsed under the TRS Government.

He also informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would address a meeting of booth-level workers of Bharatiya Janata Party at LB Stadium on August 7. Likewise, BJP National President Amit Shah will participate in Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations on September 17.

Meanwhile, addressing a seperate press conference, BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar demanded that Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari and Health Minister Dr. K. Lakshma Reddy be sacked from the State cabinet over leakage of Eamcet-2 paper. (INN)
