State sees surge in fisheries revenue: Talasani

Hyderabad: Fisheries in the state have seen tremendous growth in the state, said Animal Husbandry and Fisheries development minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Saturday.

He was speaking in a review meeting held at MCRHRD institute with Finance Minister Harish Rao, MLC Banda Prakash and fisheries development associations.

The Minister said that the Telangana government was supporting the fisheries and fishermen community in the best way possible and standing ideal in the country. He said that the distribution of fishlings free of cost was unique and that giving employment to the fishermen.

Srinivas Yadav said that Cage Culture was being promoted in the state that gives great produce. He said that CM KCR was working for the welfare of the fishermen’s community. He said that newly formed fisheries societies would give employment to thousands of people. A membership program for the same would be taken up and completed very soon, he said. (INN)
