KCR Nutrition Kits for pregnant women soon: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Health and Family Welfare Minister T Harish Rao said that the state government was contemplating starting a ‘KCR Nutrition Kit’ for pregnant women in the state. He said that if a pregnant woman remains healthy she can give birth to a healthy baby and the dream of Healthy Telangana can be achieved.

He inaugurated a Medical College with 75 beds in Hamsa Homeopathy at Mulugu village in Siddipet district on Monday. He said that Ayush had a very great future and traditional medical practices were getting more prominence of late. He said that Ayurvedic, Yoga, Unani, Sidha and Homoeopathy have their uniqueness.

He said that Basti Dawakhana and Palle Dawakhana were started to provide health care facilities to all the citizens. He assured that Ayush doctors would be appointed at Palle Dawakhanas and said that a quotation was sent to the central health secretary in this regard.He said that Nature Cure hospital was getting developed with the amount of Rs 6 crores. He informed that similar hospitals would be started in Vikarabad, and Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts very soon. He informed that there were 834 Ayush dispensaries, 5 colleges and 4 research hospitals which were giving treatment to all types of ailments. He said that C-section operations have increased after the Corona crisis and said that doctors needed to be trained not to opt for this unless in emergencies. (INN)
