Ranganayaka Sagar will be developed as a tourist spot: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Health Minister Harish Rao assured that Ranganayaka Sagar would be developed as a tourist centre in the coming days.

He laid the foundation stone for the first phase of four-lane road construction work from Siddipet to Chinnakodur being constructed at the cost of Rs.66 crore.

The minister clarified that road expansion was being done for public convenience in view of increased traffic. A four-lane road would be developed from Siddipet Ellamma temple to Chinnakodur with butterfly lighting. He said that the work of a four-lane road was going on around Siddipet. He said that all this was happening only because Chandrashekhar Rao was the Chief Minister. He said that water was being released from Ranganayak Sagar as per the request of the farmers.Minister Harish Rao criticized the leaders of Congress and BJP for alleging that Kaleshwaram water had not irrigated even an acre of land. He expressed anger at the opposition parties’ behaviour, who were unwilling to acknowledge that the farmers were irrigating their fields from water received through the Kaleswaram project. (INN)
