Hyderabad: Ministers Koppula Eshwar, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, CS Shantikumari, DGP Anjani Kumar and Special Chief Secretary Municipal Administration Department Arvind Kumar inspected the work at Dr. B R Ambedkar statue on Monday.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will unveil the statue on April 14. Since only four days left for the unveiling of the statue, the arrangements were monitored. The Ministers reviewed the curtain used for the unveiling of the statue in which the Chief Minister along with the VVIPs will participate, the entry for the visitors, the venue for holding the public meeting with the officials concerned.
More than 40,000 chairs have been ordered for the public meeting to be arranged on the ground next to the IMAX. After the parking of vehicles from different districts and the unveiling of the statue, people will visit the statue and offer flowers.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, SC Development Secretary Rahul Bojja, Roads and Buildings Department Secretary Srinivasa Raju, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Hyderabad Collector Amay Kumar, SP Development Department Commissioner Yogita Rana, Mallepally Lakshmaiah R&B officials inspected the site. Meanwhile, final touches are being made regarding the unveiling of the statue. (INN)
