1,061 Assistant Professors get appointment letters

Hyderabad: Health Minister T. Harish Rao handed over the papers to the newly appointed Assistant Professors in the Department of Medical Education. Harish Rao presented the appointment papers to 1,061 doctors at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad and wished them on this occasion. DME Ramesh Reddy and many medical officers participated in this event.

All the new recruits will work under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME). Already, the state government is establishing one medical college in each district. To provide quality education to the students in the respective colleges, the Department of Medical Education has taken up the transfers of professors, associate and assistant professors. With this, medical colleges have been provided with the necessary staff. In addition to these, another 1,061 assistant professors will join now. With these appointments, medical education in the state will be further strengthened.There are 574 posts in Multi Zone-1 and 573 posts in Multi Zone-2. Applications were received from December 20 to January 12. The applications were examined and the certificates were examined from February 2. The roster list was announced on February 20. The preliminary merit list was released on March 28, objections were received, and 1,061 were selected. (INN)
