Investments keep flowing into Telangana, boosting economic growth

Hyderabad: Telangana continues to attract significant investments, signalling a positive outlook for the region’s economic development. In his ongoing visit to the United States of America, IT and Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao held fruitful meetings with top companies, resulting in promising collaborations and expansion plans.

Sonata Software, a leading modernization engineering company, announced its intentions to expand its footprint in Tier-II towns of Telangana. This expansion will create 200 new jobs at the upcoming Nalgonda IT Tower, set to commence operations in the near future. The focus will be on software development and innovation, with engineers working together to develop cutting-edge solutions for various industries such as banking and healthcare. The move also presents an opportunity for young professionals to acquire valuable cross-skilling and upskilling experiences in emerging markets.

In another development, global pharmaceutical giant Sanofi shared its ambitious growth plans for Hyderabad with Minister K.T. Rama Rao. Sanofi had previously announced the establishment of a centre in Hyderabad, which they consider a key global ‘Talent Hub.’ This move aligns with Telangana’s broader life sciences strategy and solidifies Hyderabad’s position as a significant player in the health tech industry. These investments demonstrate Telangana’s commitment to remaining at the forefront of technological advancements and securing a prosperous future for the healthcare sector.

Furthermore, Pi Health, represented by Dr Bobby Reddy, Co-Founder, met with Minister K.T. Rama Rao to convey their decision to establish an integrated cancer hospital and research centre in Hyderabad. The state-of-the-art facility will leverage advanced technology to combat cancer and drive medical research. Minister K.R.T expressed his satisfaction with Pi Health’s commitment to harnessing the remarkable healthcare and IT talent present in Telangana to fight against cancer and shape the future of medicine.

The presence of prominent government officials, including Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Departments Jayesh Ranjan, Special Secretary Investment Promotion & NRI Affairs E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and Chief Relations Officer Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri, at these meetings, highlights the concerted efforts made by Telangana to attract investments and drive growth in the IT, pharmaceutical, and healthcare sectors.
