Fish production increased in Telangana: Indrakaran Reddy

Hyderabad: Forest and Environment Minister Indrakaran Reddy said on Tuesday that fish production in the state has increased due to the measures taken by the government. He was speaking at the Swarna Project in Telangana, where he released fish fry.

The minister said that after the formation of Telangana state, the rural economy has been strengthened and the government is implementing many programs to sustain the caste professions financially. He said that the government is distributing fish fry for free with the intention of economic development through fish farming.As part of this programme, fish fry were released in the pond. The minister said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is working hard for the welfare of fishermen. He also said that doctors suggest that consuming fish as a daily diet has amazing health benefits and helps prevent chronic diseases. (INN)
