Prabhakar Rao resigns as TRANSCO CMD

Hyderabad: Chairman and Managing Director of TRANSCO and GENCO D Prabhakar Rao on Monday resigned from his post.

Prabhakar Rao played a key role in ensuring 24-hour uninterrupted power supply in the state and held the post for the past nine years. Prabhakar Rao, who was recruited in the Electricity Department at the age of 22, took over as CMD of Genco on 5th June 2014 and was appointed in-charge of Transco on 25th October of the same year. He has resigned from his post today. He served for 54 years in the Electricity Department.In his resignation letter sent to the Special Chief Secretary to Government, Energy Department, Prabhakar informed that till arrangements are made by the government, Director (Civil) Ajay wil look after the post of CMD TSGENCO and JMD C Srinivas Rao will look after the post of TSTRANSCO. (INN)
