CM Revanth Reddy assures all support to the Foxconn group

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that the State Government would provide all necessary assistance to Foxconn for future projects in Telangana, including support for the Kongarakalan production center.

A delegation from Foxconn met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat on Tuesday. The meeting, attended by IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and other senior officials, focused on collaboration between the government and Foxconn.

During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the accelerated development of the electronics industry in Telangana. He assured that the government would not only facilitate the required permits for industry development but also provide essential infrastructure. The Chief Minister expressed the commitment to taking all necessary steps to position the state as a leading industrial hub in the country.In December 2023, the Foxconn Group entered into an agreement with the Telangana Government, marking a significant partnership. Foxconn, known for manufacturing Apple iPhones, boasts major clients such as Google, Xiaomi, Amazon, Alibaba Group, Cisco, Dell, Facebook, Sony, Microsoft, and Nokia. Operating in 24 countries, including China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, America, Europe, and India, Foxconn signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government, pledging to generate 100,000 jobs through the establishment of electronics manufacturing systems. The initial phase aims to create 25,000 jobs within the next two years. (INN)
