Hyderabad: By-elections to fill two vacant seats of Telangana State Legislative Council to be filled by MLAs will be held on January 29.
The seats fell vacant due to the resignation of Kadiyam Srihari and Padi Kowshik Reddy on 9th December following their election as members of the Legislative Assembly. Their term was to end on 30th November 2027.As per the schedule released by the Election Commission of India on Thursday, the last date for nominations will be January 18. While the nominations will be scrutinised on 19th January, the last date to withdraw candidature will be 22nd January. The polling for both the seats will be held on 29th January from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting votes will occur on the same day at 5 pm. (INN)
