Hyderabad: The State Government has acted on the cops said to be allegedly responsible for the suicide of Kukunoor SI Ramakrishna Reddy.
DGP Anurag Sharma said that DSP Sridhar, Rural SI Venkataiah and CI Ramanajeyulu had been attached to the DGP office.
Similarly ASI Prakash, Head constables Muthyam, Samba and constables Yadav Reddy and Nagireddy have been attached to the SP office, the DGP informed in a statement.
In a related development, the family of the deceased SI met Home Minister Narsimha Reddy and sought strict action against the cops responsible for Ramakrishna’s death.
Speaking to media persons the victim’s wife Dhanalakshmi said alleged that the DSP and CI had forced her husband to compensate the money for the expenses incurred during the Prime Minister’s visit to the district recently. She sought stern action against all those responsible for the suicide of her husband. (INN)
