TRS MP hits out at Congress over irrigation projects

Hyderabad: Karimnagar MP and TRS senior leader B. Vinod Kumar took strong objections to the Congress statement that TRS was misleading the people on the irrigation projects.

Speaking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan here on Sunday, Vinod Kumar said that the Congress leaders have no right to speak on the irrigation projects.

He alleged that it was the Congress party which neglected the irrigation projects during its regime.

He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had given a comprehensive Power Point Presentation on irrigation projects in the State in the Assembly and Congress leaders walked out of the House fearing that they would be exposed by the presentation.

The TRS MP alleged that the TPCC chief Uttam Kumar was indulging in propaganda campaign by spreading lies about the TRS government’s work.

He said that the people of the state were aware of the facts and that Congress would pay a heavy price if it indulges in mudslinging campaign against the TRS government.

Vinod Kumar took objection to the criticism being heaped by the Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar who questioned the government’s decision to construct Tummidi Hatti project.

He asked as to why the Congress, which was in power at the Centre and in AP and Maharastra, failed to make any progress on the said project.

He said that the Congress leaders, in order to cover their wrong doings, were trying to point fingers at every step the TRS government was taking for the states development. (INN)
