IMD issues heavy rainfall warning for Telangana

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rainfall warning for next five days for Telangana.

The IMD said that the well marked low pressure area over coastal Andhra Pradesh and neighbourhood, now lies over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas of south Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

Therefore, on Friday and Saturday, heavy to very heavy rain at a few places with extremely heavy rain at isolated places are very likely to occur in the districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy and Warangal of Telangana State.

From 25th to 27th September, heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in all the districts across Telangana.

Meanwhile, the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) said that the ongoing active monsoon conditions over Telangana would continue upto 27th September. (INN)
