Reorganization of districts: TD to petition Guv

Hyderabad: Telangana TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy on Monday alleged that the TRS government was regrinding the districts with an aim to dervice political gains. The TDP would raise the issue with the Governor and expose the government on the unscientific method adopted in creation of new districts, he said.

Speaking to media persons, Revanth Reddy accused TRS of not encouraging Dalit and girijan leaders. The TRS chief is ignoring the marginalized like Dalits and Tribals, the TDP leader said.

He said the places which fall under the ambit of Schedule-5 were being merged with open lands and there by preventing the rights of girijans,

who got them under the Constitution, he said, adding that the Governor should give his consent on the ordinance related to new districts only after consulting with legal experts.

Otherwise, the party would raise the issue with the President. He accused the TRS government of violating Constitution on various issues and said that his party would soon prepare a list of the Constitutional violations committed by TRS government. (INN)
