Devadula Project will be completed by next year: Harish Rao

Warangal Urban: Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Saturday said that the State Government was pursing pro-farmers’ policies and reiterated that it was committed to the welfare of the farmers.

Speaking to the media persons, Harish Rao said that the government would complete the Devadula irrigation project by next year. He said that the state government took up construction of godowns in the state with a budget of Rs 1024 crore.

He said that it was possible to supply nine hour power supply to the farmers of the state only by KCR and added that it the government would supply the nine hour power supply to the Rabi crop.

The irrigation minister lashed out at the opposition saying that they were indulging in a propaganda campaign to defame the TRS government which was striving for the all round development of the state.

He said that it was strange that the parties who ruled the state for decades and ignored the farm sector were now pointing fingers at the TRS government, which is the most farmer-friendly government.

He accused AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of conspiring to stall Telangana’s development and challenged the opposition to scuttle Chandrababu’s anti-Telangana decisions. (INN)
