Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Ravindra Gupta conducted intensive inspection of Narasapur-Bhimavaram Section on Friday.
He was accompanied by Ashok Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and other officials.
The General Manager undertook an intensive inspection of Narasapur-Bhimavaram section and reviewed the ongoing doubling and electrification project works.
He held detailed discussions with officials on the progress of ongoing works related to doubling/electrification of Vijayawada-Bhimavaram-Nidadavolu-Narasapur section and Vijayawada-Gudivada-Machilipatnam single line sections of Vijayawada Division.
He also inspected Narasapur Railway Station and reviewed the passenger amenities available at the station, booking office, circulating area etc.
Later, the General Manager, visited the Coaching Depot and reviewed the coach maintenance facilities available.
He further discussed on the plans for expansion of coaching facilities to accommodate maintenance of some more trains. He also thoroughly inspected the Running Room at Narasapur and reviewed the facilities available for the running staff. (INN)
