Hyderabad: Former MLA and Lok Satta party chief Dr. Jaya Prakash Narayana welcomed the Centre’s decision to demonetize the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations.
Terming the move by the Centre as a very bold step, the former MLA stated that demonetization must be the beginning of the reforms and not the end of it.
He said that the Centre should come out with more such reforms saying that demonetization does not touch foreign assets.
The Lok Satta leader hit out at the opposition parties opposing the Centre’s move saying that it was unfortunate that the parties were trying to politicize the issue.
He said that the country should stand united and support the Centre in such matters in the interest of the country. (INN)
