Oil palm crop in 20K acres in Bhadradri district

Hyderabad: Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageshwar Rao on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the issues of oil palm growers and setting oil palm processing unit in Khammam district.

Officials from agriculture department were present.

The minister informed the officials to ensure that the oil-palm growers get a fair MSP for their crop.

The minister directed the authorities to ensure that 20,000 acres of land is cultivated with oil-palm crop with the help of Tribals in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

He said that works on setting up of an oil palm factory in Dammapeta, a hub of oil palm cultivation should pick up. (INN)
