Hyderabad: Taking a strong objection to the Congress’ allegations that KCR was aware of the demonetization drive of the Centre and that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convert his black money to white,

the TRS on Tuesday hit back at the Congress saying that it was Congress that is known for its corrupt practices and for amassing black money.

Speaking to media person, TRS MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy accused the Congress of defaming the TRS chief.

He said that the Chief Minister met Prime Minister to suggest steps to ease out the difficulties people are facing after the Centre banned Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.

He said that KCR did what no other CM could do. It was KCR who took the initiative to take up the issue of demonetization with the PM and the sufferings of the people in the wake of Centre’s move. He accused the Congress of defaming the CM.

He demanded the Centre to compensate for the loss the state had to suffer due to demonetization.

He also demanded the Centre to take enough measures like increasing the circulation of new notes of Rs 500 and also Rs 100 to ensure that the common people are not subjected to hardships.

The TRS MLC said that the Centre move will black money and corruption only if it is properly implemented without troubling the people. (INN)
