CM holds review meeting on demonitisation impact

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday held a high-level meeting with senior officials on the impact of demonitisation and the status of cash crunch in the State.

The meeting, held at CM’s camp office ‘Pragathi Bhavan’, was attended by senior officials including Chief Secretary K. Pradeep Chandra and Finance Secretary.

The Chief Minister discussed the situation that aroused after the ban on old Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 notes by the Centre. He also held discussions on the proposed Collectors’ Conference.

He asked the officials to promote cashless transactions.

He said that people have been facing problems due to shortage of cash and therefore, the government must encourage cashless transactions wherever possible. (INN)
