Hyderabad: Congress senior leader and MLA G. Chinna Reddy has accused the TRS Government of making false claims on the completion of irrigation projects in Telangana State.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, Chinna Reddy said that the Kalawkurthy Lift Irrigation Project was started during the previous Congress regime and almost 88% of works were completed.
However, he said by completing remaining 12% works, the TRS Government has been claiming that it constructed the project in a record span of two-and-a-half yeares.
He said that the TRS Government was making such false claims on several other irrigation projects.
Chinna Reddy also accused the TRS Government of escalating the costs of many irrigation projects which includes Palamuru Ranga Reddy Irrigation Project.
He also condemned the statement given by Telangana State Planning Board Vice-Chairman Niranjan Reddy wherein he alleged that previous Congress regime was not serious on completion of irrigation projects in Telangana. (INN)
