All tenant farmers to get ID cards soon: Dy CM

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Thursday said that the State Government would soon complete the process of issuing ID cards to tenant farmers in the State.

In his written reply to a question raised by Congress MLA S.A. Sampath Kumar and others in Legislative Assembly, the Deputy CM informed that from 2nd June 2014 to 17th December this year, a total of 1,65,313 applications were received for issue of Loan Eligibility Cards. Of them, 87,964 Loan Eligibility Cards have been issued.

They include 83,696 fresh applications and 4,268 renewals. Further, 26,023 applications have been rejected and 51,326 applications are under process.

Listing out the measures taken by the government to issue Loan Eligibility Cards to all the tenant farmers, the Deputy CM said that the application formats both in Telugu and English languages have been uploaded in Mee Seva Portal.

The applications for Loan Eligibility Cards are being received through Mee Seva Kiosks online with effect from June 2015. The entire process has been made online in Telangana Land Records Management System (TLRMS) wherein individual officer can process the file electronically and submit enquiry reports.

“Loan Charge Module” is also being created which enables bankers to verify details online for sanction of crop loans.

Divisional and Mandal Level meetings have been conducted to create awareness among the tenant farmers and all the stake holders, the Deputy CM said. (INN)
