KCR Govt not serious about welfare of marginalized sections: CPM

Jangaon: CPM secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram slammed the TRS Government saying that if failed to implement major promises made to the marginalized sections of the state during elections.

Speaking at a programme as part of party’s Mahajana padayatra at Devaruppula mandal in the district, Veerabhadram said that the TRS Government was serious about fulfilling promises made to the marginalized sections.

He alleged that the CM was not present in the Assembly when the House was discussing SC/STs sub-plan last week. This shows how serious the state government is towards to backward sections, he remarked.

The CPM leader also demanded the state government not to go ahead with the government’s plan to explore Uranium in Amrabad in Nagarkurnool district.

He said that the government was planning to take away tribal lands in the name of exploring Uranium and also setting up tiger reserve in the area.

He said that the government’s actions will displace Tribals in 13 villages and added that the KCR government was also working for the corporates’ interests at the cost of lives of Tribals. (INN)
