Media urged to raise people’s issues

Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP and TRS leader K Kavitha on Sunday said that the media needs to present facts in an impartial manner and not go for sensationalism.

Speaking at the launch of a Telugu Daily “Manam”, Kavitha said that the media should maintain quality journalism and strive to uplift the living conditions of masses by prompting the government of the day to take up various welfare measures.

Media should focus on the issues concerning the poor and the middle classes and ensure that the fruits of the government schemes reach the eligible beneficiaries.

Deputy CM Mahamood Ali, who was present on the occasion, said that the TRS Government was taking up various initiatives for the welfare of the masses.

He listed out the government schemes like Kalyan Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarka and pensions to widows, senior citizens and disabled people.

He said that the schemes are first of its kind and the government has allocated huge funds for the welfare sector. (INN)
