Centre committed to provide social security to labourers: Dattatreya

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya on Monday inaugurated the ESIC Model Dispensary cum Diagnostic Centre along with Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy at Jeedimetla in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion Minister Narsimha Reddy said that State Government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was striving for the welfare of working class and labourers. He said that the TRS government was pro-poor and has taken various pro-poor initiatives.

He said that the ESIC has now been extended to 21 which is a good sign for workers and labourers.

In his speech, Dattatreya said that the Centre would provide social security to Anganwadi workers, contract workers, ASHA workers. He said that the Centre would construct houses for poor workers at the site identified by the state government.

Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, MP Malla Reddy, MLA K.P Vivekanand and others were present. (INN)
